Veronica and Kellen were married on Saturday at their cabin/restored 1860's school house! Amazing, right?! The entire day was absolutely beautiful and a boho DREAM. I still can not believe they did everything themselves. From the decor to Veronica's wedding dress, it was all them! Veronica's mother handmade her wedding dress as well as her macrame bouquet wrap. Such talent! Adding to the intimate elements of this wedding, Veronica's timeless diamond ring belonged to her grandmother.

This wedding was extra special to my heart. Veronica and I were best friends growing up! Being able to photograph her getting married was unmatched elatedness.

Photographing Veronica and Kellen was easy breezy because every time they looked at each other, I could literally feel the love between the two of them through my lens. They are such beautiful humans, inside and out and I wish them so much happiness. Their love story makes my heart melt even more! They first met in third grade when they signed each others yearbooks. For Christmas that year, Kellen wished for Veronica to love him. He got his wish. In 4th and 5th grade, he would kiss her pencils whenever he visited her classroom. After 5th grade, they went to separate schools and lost contact. Don't worry, it wasn't long! When they were 16, they reconnected through mutual friends and developed a friendship that continued to evolve into the love that they share today.

Together, their parents wrote, "Kellen and Veronica have accomplished a lot over the years. They graduated high school and college together. They have found great jobs they love and are growing their careers together. They spend their time camping and traveling and hope to experience the world. They have traveled with Grandpa Poke’s camper to many places and have created so many memories they both cherish. They have since moved into this cabin they call home. They have developed a strong bond together and believe they have what it takes to provide for each other for eternity."

The morning of their wedding, Veronica had her hair and makeup done in her moms hair salon. While Veronica finished up with her hair and makeup, I headed to the cabin to photograph their details. I was greeted by a little trail lined with string lights and signs which lead the way to the cabin.

Veronica designed the invitations herself! They were printed from Vistaprint. Her bouquet was full of vibrant colors and greenery that Veronica and her mother put together with florals from Trader Joes. Veronica's Dress, handmade by her mother, was flawless. It was a two piece, which I absolutely love! Kellen wore a vest with a burgundy tie that coordinated perfectly with Veronica's attire.

After getting ready, Veronica and Kellen had their first look. I love capturing the genuine love that comes with seeing each for the first time, all dressed and beautiful on the wedding day! With much excitement, we headed down behind the cabin for bride and groom portraits. Afterwards, we finished up bridal party photos and they went into hiding before the ceremony began.

Veronica and Kellen had their cabin porch decorated with the most adorably gorgeous boho decor that I have ever seen. This is where the ceremony took place. The guest chairs were all unique from one another and had name tags attached with burlap string the porch post were wrapped in greenery and flowers. The aisle was made up of braided rugs with vibrant colors! During the ceremony, Veronica and Kellen's mothers read their love story. It was a tearjerker...that's for sure!

We then photographed family formals and afterwards, headed to the reception! This space was beyond amazing and was decorated with items from Veronica's business, Junkies. Allison, Veronica's business partner and bridesmaid, also helped with designing and setting up the reception space. They had pizza from Mellow Mushroom (soooo yummy) and had a bar cart set up with self serve cocktails and sangria! I loved Veronica and Kellens individual pizzas! Such a cute idea!

They had a table set up with Jenga blocks for guest to sign and build. They also had a instax camera, like a little polaroid, that their guest could use to take a photo of themselves, then place it in a scrapbook and write a message to Kellen and Veronica! I love it!

After dinner, Veronica, Kellen and I snuck away for sunset photos. My favorite! I followed them down a trail that they walk often, until we reached the perfect spot where the sun was glowing through the trees. Talk about breathtaking! After sunset, we headed back to the cabin to enjoy delicious gluten free cupcakes from Defining Desserts. We concluded the evening with a sparkler exit. It was the perfect touch to the closing of a perfect day.

From beautiful warm weather to stunning boho decor, this wedding was a dream. I am so grateful that I had the honor of photographing such an intimate milestone in Kellen's and my childhood best friend, Veronica's life. Thank you both so much for trusting me to capture your memories and I hope you guys have the best time on your honeymoon in Colorado! My heart is truly warm.
